Mountain Fish Red from Strofilia Winery is a supple, fruity red wine that suits the Mediterranean lifestyle perfectly. Light-footed and refreshing, with plenty of red fruit and soft tannins — ideal for anyone who likes an easy-drinking, not-too-heavy red.
Grapes & origin
Made from indigenous and/or international varieties such as Agiorgitiko and Syrah, from high-altitude vineyards in the Peloponnese. The mountainous terroir gives elegant acidity and ripe fruit.
Vinification
Vinification in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. No oak ageing — the emphasis is on freshness, pure fruit and a supple structure.
Tasting notes
Clear ruby red. On the nose aromas of strawberry, cherry, raspberry and a hint of spice. On the palate supple, light and refreshing, with soft tannins, lively acidity and a fruity finish. Very good lightly chilled as well.
Serving tips
Serve at 14–16 °C (or lightly chilled on warm days). Perfect with grilled chicken, mezze, pasta salads, pizza or simply as a house red. A versatile wine for any occasion.
Cellaring
At its best young — drink within 1 to 2 years for optimum freshness and fruit expression.
