Notios Red – Gaia Wines | Supple, spicy and modern Greek
Notios Red from Gaia Wines is a modern, lively red wine that combines the fruity character of Agiorgitiko with the spicy power of Syrah. The result is a supple, approachable wine with Mediterranean flair — perfect for everyday enjoyment or a convivial meal.
Grapes & origin
A blend of Agiorgitiko and Syrah from selected vineyards in the Peloponnese. The combination of a sunny climate and differences in altitude gives ripe aromas while preserving freshness and balance.
Vinification
Temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Short ageing in tank and/or partly in barrel to give the wine softness without overpowering the fruit. The emphasis is on freshness and drinking pleasure.
Tasting notes
Clear ruby red. On the nose aromas of cherry, raspberry, blackcurrant and a hint of pepper and herbs. On the palate supple and round, with soft tannins, fresh acidity and a fruity, lightly spicy finish.
Serving tips
Serve at 15–17 °C. Delicious with pizza, pasta, grilled meat, mezze, barbecue or snacks. Also very pleasant lightly chilled on warm days.
Cellaring
At its best young — drink within 3 to 4 years for optimum fruit and freshness.
