Pinot Noir – Biblia Chora | Elegant, refined and silky Greek

The Pinot Noir from Ktima Biblia Chora is an elegant, refined red wine that brings out the delicate nature of this noble grape beautifully. Coming from the hills of northern Greece, it combines finesse, freshness and subtle ripe fruit — a stylish interpretation of Pinot Noir with a Mediterranean character.

Grapes & origin
100% Pinot Noir from carefully selected vineyards around Kokkinochori (Kavala), at the foot of the Pangaion mountains. The combination of altitude, cool nights and well-drained soils gives aromatic precision and an elegant structure.

Vinification
Gentle extraction and temperature-controlled fermentation to preserve the finesse of the grape. The wine then ages for several months in French oak barrels, partly new, for extra complexity and roundness without overpowering the fruit.

Tasting notes
Clear ruby red with a light translucency. On the nose refined aromas of red cherry, raspberry, rose petal and a hint of herbs and earthy notes. On the palate elegant and silky, with fresh acidity, fine tannins and a long, delicate finish.

Serving tips
Serve at 15–16 °C. Delicious with poultry, duck, mushroom dishes, light meat dishes or soft cheeses. Also an excellent wine for anyone who likes elegant, not-too-heavy reds.

Cellaring
Good — 4 to 6 years. With bottle age the wine develops more complexity and subtle earthy notes.
