Theopetra Estate Red – Tsilili Winery | Elegant, earthy and Greek with an ancient heart

Theopetra Estate Red is a refined, terroir-driven red wine from Tsilili Winery in the historic Meteora region of central Greece. The vineyards around the prehistoric caves of Theopetra produce a wine with depth, elegance and a subtle earthiness — a genuine discovery for lovers of characterful Greek blends.

Grapes & origin
A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and the indigenous Limniona, from certified vineyards around the village of Theopetra, at the foot of the famous Meteora rocks. The limestone-rich, well-drained soils give structure and finesse.

Vinification
Traditional vinification with temperature-controlled fermentation. The wine then ages for 12 months in French oak barrels, partly new, followed by bottle ageing for optimum integration. Limited production.

Tasting notes
Deep ruby red. On the nose aromas of ripe plums, blackcurrant, mint, tobacco and a hint of earth. On the palate supple yet structured, with silky tannins, fresh acidity and a long, harmonious finish with spicy and mineral notes.

Serving tips
Serve at 17–18 °C. Excellent with stews, grilled red meat, lamb, game or dishes with mushrooms and truffle. Also delicious with matured cheeses or a savoury quiche.
