Ktima Nemea – Papaioannou Estate | Soft and authentic, from the heart of Nemea
The Ktima Nemea from Papaioannou Estate is a classic, elegant red wine of 100% Agiorgitiko from carefully managed vineyards in the heart of the Nemea region. Supple, spicy and full of ripe red fruit — perfect for lovers of approachable but characterful reds.
Grapes & origin
100% Agiorgitiko from vineyards in the Nemea region of the Peloponnese. The Papaioannou family has worked entirely sustainably for decades.
Vinification
Traditional red vinification in stainless steel tanks. The wine undergoes a short ageing (a few months) in used oak barrels, to develop softness and structure without masking the fruit.
Tasting notes
Clear ruby red. On the nose aromas of cherry, red plum, spices and a hint of earth. On the palate soft and balanced, with supple tannins, fresh acidity and an elegant, spicy finish.
Serving tips
Serve at 16–18 °C. Excellent with lamb, grilled meat, moussaka, stuffed vegetables or matured cheeses. Also suitable as a house red with an organic touch.
Cellaring
Ready to drink, but can evolve nicely for another 3–5 years.
