A unique single-vineyard wine from old vines in Nemea
Monopati (Greek for “the path”) is an impressive red wine from the renowned Aivalis winery, known for its expressive wines from the Agiorgitiko grape. It comes from a single, carefully selected plot of old vines at high altitude in the Nemea region — the great red wine region of the Peloponnese.
In the glass Monopati shows a deep, opaque ruby red. The nose is intense and complex, with concentrated aromas of black fruit (blackberry, black cherry), plums, dried figs, herbs, dark chocolate and subtle notes of vanilla and toast from ageing in new oak.
On the palate this wine is powerful, full and layered, with ripe tannins, lovely freshness and a long, elegant finish. Monopati combines the richness of a full red wine with the refinement of a great terroir and careful craftsmanship.
Food pairing
Ideal with red meat (rack of lamb, entrecôte), game, stews or mature hard cheeses. Also an excellent wine to enjoy on a special occasion.
