The Oenotria Land Red from Domaine Costa Lazaridi is an impressive, prestigious red wine that links the richness of Greek terroir to international elegance. This Bordeaux-inspired blend is intense, velvety and perfect for anyone looking for a wine with depth, ageing potential and a luxurious character.
Grapes & origin
A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Agiorgitiko from high-altitude vineyards in Drama (northern Greece), where the dry climate and cool mountain influences give concentrated, aromatic grapes of the highest quality.
Vinification
Strict grape selection and separate vinification of the two varieties. The wine then ages for 18 to 24 months in new French oak barriques, followed by bottle ageing at the estate. The result is a complex wine balancing power, fruit and refinement.
Tasting notes
Deep dark red. On the nose notes of blackcurrant, cherry liqueur, cedar, tobacco, dark chocolate, herbs and a hint of graphite. On the palate rich and concentrated, with silky tannins, a fresh structure and an endless, elegant finish. Powerful and refined at once.
Serving tips
Serve at 18 °C. Decanting recommended (at least an hour). Excellent with game, beef, roast lamb, truffle dishes or dishes with rich sauces. Also perfect for special occasions and gastronomic dinners.
Cellaring
Excellent — 10 to 15 years or more. This wine develops beautifully over the years and ranks among the very best Greece has to offer.
