Pure Greece in every drop
Authentic, fruity and of top Greek quality
Agiorgitiko – Gaia Wines | Supple, spicy and classic Nemea
The Agiorgitiko from Gaia Wines is a characterful red wine from the heart of Nemea, the most famous red wine region in Greece. Supple, round and spicy, with an elegant balance between fruit and structure — perfect as an approachable red with an authentically Greek character.
Grapes & origin
100% Agiorgitiko from high-altitude vineyards in the Koutsi (Nemea) region. The cool microclimate and limestone soils contribute to a refined style with ripe fruit and lively freshness.
Vinification
Traditional red vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Part of the wine ages briefly in used French oak barrels for extra softness and structure, without a dominant oak note.
Tasting notes
Deep red. On the nose aromas of cherry, plum, black pepper, dried herbs and a hint of cocoa. On the palate supple and balanced, with soft tannins, ripe red fruit, fresh acidity and a spicy, medium-long finish.
Serving tips
Serve at 15–17 °C. Excellent with grilled meat, pasta with tomato sauce, stews, stuffed vegetables or hard cheeses. Also a versatile red for midweek.
Cellaring
Ready to drink, but can evolve nicely for 3 to 5 years in bottle.
Taste & character
Full, balanced and made to be enjoyed.
Use & serving tip
Delicious with salads, mezze, grilled vegetables and fresh bread.
