The Grand Reserve Naoussa from Boutari is one of the great classics of Greek wine. This prestigious red of 100% Xinomavro comes from the historic Naoussa (PDO) region and is known for its structure, complexity and impressive cellaring potential. A wine with character, elegance and tradition.

Grapes & origin
100% Xinomavro from selected vineyards in Naoussa, northern Greece. The combination of altitude, limestone soils and a cool climate gives grapes with intense aromas, fresh acidity and firm tannins — ideal for long ageing.

Vinification
Traditional vinification with long skin maceration. The wine ages for at least 24 months in oak barrels, followed by extended bottle ageing before release. Produced only in good vintages — a true reserve wine.

Tasting notes
Garnet red with slight evolution at the rim. On the nose complex aromas of dried cherry, tomato, olive, tobacco, leather, herbs and subtle oak notes. On the palate powerful and elegant, with lively acidity, ripe tannins and a long, layered finish. Classic and refined.

Serving tips
Serve at 17–18 °C. Decanting recommended. Perfect with game, lamb, stews, mushrooms, aubergine dishes or mature cheeses. A wine for lovers of complex, gastronomic reds.

Cellaring
Excellent — 10 to 15 years or more. Develops beautifully with bottle age and gains ever more finesse.
