Lafkiotis Kleoni white

Lafkiotis Kleoni White is a fresh, approachable white wine from the Peloponnese. It is made from carefully selected Greek grapes and is known for its lively fruit, soft character and excellent value for money. A lovely wine for any occasion and a perfect introduction to Greek wine.

Grapes & origin

From the sunny vineyards of the Peloponnese, where the Mediterranean climate and fertile soils give grapes with plenty of aroma and a lovely natural freshness. The wine is made from a harmonious blend of traditional Greek white varieties.

Vinification

After harvest the grapes are gently pressed and fermented at a controlled low temperature in stainless steel tanks. This preserves the fresh fruit aromas and lively flavour as fully as possible. The wine is bottled young to keep its fresh character.

Tasting notes

Clear light yellow with green reflections. On the nose fresh aromas of citrus, green apple, white peach and subtle floral notes. The flavour is supple, fresh and fruity, with a lovely balance between lively acidity and a soft, refreshing finish.

Serving tips

Serve at 8–10 °C. Delicious as an aperitif or with Greek salads, grilled fish, shellfish, chicken, light pasta, soft cheeses and Mediterranean mezze.

Cellaring

This wine is meant to be drunk young and is at its best within 2 to 3 years of harvest, when its fresh fruit aromas are at their peak.
