Kechribari Retsina – Kechris Winery | Fresh, aromatic and authentically Greek

Kechribari Retsina from Kechris Winery is one of the best-known and best-loved retsinas in Greece. This traditional wine combines a fresh white wine with a subtle addition of pine resin, which gives it the characteristic aroma that makes retsina so distinctive. Refreshing, aromatic and perfect with Greek food.

Grapes & origin
Made from Roditis grapes from vineyards in northern Greece. Roditis is known for its fresh acidity and light structure, ideal for producing classic retsina.

Vinification
During fermentation a small amount of Aleppo pine resin is added. This is a centuries-old Greek tradition that gives the wine its recognisable aroma and flavour. The wine is then bottled fresh and pure.

Tasting notes
Pale straw yellow. On the nose aromas of citrus, apple and a subtle resinous pine note. On the palate fresh and dry, with lively acidity and an invigorating, lightly herbal finish.

Serving tips
Serve well chilled at 8–10 °C. Delicious with mezze, grilled fish, calamari, feta, olives, salads and Mediterranean dishes. Also perfect as an aperitif.
