Arvanitidis Chardonnay

Chardonnay – Arvanitidis Estate | Rich, rounded and freshly balanced

The Chardonnay from Arvanitidis Estate is an elegant, well-balanced white wine from northern Greece. This version of the world-famous grape combines ripe fruit with fresh acidity and a subtle touch of oak — full of character, without ever becoming heavy.

Grapes & origin
100% Chardonnay from Arvanitidis Estate‘s own vineyards in Thessaloniki. The temperate, hilly climate gives grapes with an optimum balance between ripeness and freshness.

Vinification
The wine is partly fermented and aged in French oak barrels, the rest in stainless steel. This combination gives the wine both creaminess and vitality. Ageing on the fine lees (sur lie) adds structure and depth.

Tasting notes
Pale gold. Aromas of ripe peach, vanilla, toasted almond and a hint of citrus. On the palate full and supple, with a light creaminess, fresh acidity and a subtle oak note on the finish. Harmonious and modern.

Serving tips
Serve at 10–12 °C. Delicious with grilled chicken, salmon, creamy pasta, roasted vegetables or mild rind cheeses. Also a fine partner for white meat in a butter sauce.

Cellaring
Ready to drink, but can develop nicely for another 2–4 years in bottle.
