Trata Regga Fileto is a traditional Greek speciality of carefully selected, smoked herring fillets. The natural smoking gives the fish a characteristic, full taste and a firm but soft structure. This delicacy is often served in Greece as a meze, and is equally lovely on bread, in salads or as part of a fish platter.
Serve with red onion, lemon, extra virgin olive oil and fresh bread for an authentic Greek meze. Also excellent with potato salad, olives and a glass of ouzo or tsipouro.
