Trata Gavros in oil consists of carefully selected Greek anchovy fillets, packed in vegetable oil to preserve their full taste and soft structure at their best. This traditional delicacy of the Greek kitchen is rich in protein and omega-3 fatty acids and can be eaten straight from the pack. Lovely as a meze, on bread, in salads, on pizza or as a flavour-maker in Mediterranean dishes.
Serve with extra virgin olive oil, lemon, capers and finely chopped parsley as an authentic Greek meze. Also excellent with tomato, olives and feta.
